Lions

Mara

The wild one. She craves adventure, lives with a wide open heart, she might be too much for some, but taming her spirit isn’t something we will ever do. She creates her own rules. She symbolizes the untamed spirit of the wild.

Timbavati

Bred for a pet, destined for a bullet. The young lion-cub that joined our facility, crippled and starved for attention is all grown up. He lives with incurable osteoarthritis, due to his neglectful past. He has been robbed of an active lifestyle that all lions should experience, but he finds solace in being tranquil.

Kovu

Kovu is not known as the deaf lion. He is a lion who happens to be deaf. Deafness is a silent disability: you can't see it, and it's not life-threatening, but it has altered his life in some ways. The only thing he cannot do is hear, that doesn't make him any less of a lion.

Kesari

Intimidating, yet breathtaking. Powerful, yet delicate. Kesari is anything and everything in between. She is both an image of force and a show-stopper of creation.

Kimani

"Every one of us is different in some way, but for those of us who are more different, we have to put more effort into convincing the less different that we can do the same thing they can, just differently." As a deaf and visually impaired lioness, Kimani does what she does best, which is everything all the other lions do!

Raka

Raka is a split lion, which means he carries both the white and brown lion genes. He has a built-in dominance. He knows what he wants and when he wants it. Alpha at its finest.

Tau

Tau is known as our gentle giant because of his soft nature. Tau carries the white recessive lion gene. He is slightly shy, but that doesn't stop his quirky side from showing. Happy-go-lucky.

Serabie

Serabie was rescued from the canned hunting industry when she was only a cub. Even though Serabie is an incredibly large lioness, she still hasn't lost her love for playing and acting silly.

Chanel

Chanel was removed from a dangerous environment in Cairo, Egypt. Where she was to be sold on a black market. Chanel soon fell into her role of being the queen of the pride. And boy, does she flaunt it.
