Secret Eye Surveillance and Anti - Poaching

"The unprecedented rise of crime in South Africa resulted in communities and individuals increasingly turned to private security companies for the protection of their interest.

In this environment, the founder identified the desperate need for a specialised and professional security company with unquestionable integrity, thus SECRET EYE SURVEILLANCE CC was established in June 1998.

We recognise the importance of ensuring that the security function contributes to the overall success of residential, commercial, small holdings, farms and other areas to ensure a safe and secure environment for all."

"We offer a proactive approach in providing solutions to these areas on an ongoing basis."

Waterberg Security Initiative - Cluster Security

“Save The Waterberg Rhino (STWR) was formed in 2012 following a rhino poaching incident on a property within the area, which in turn identified a general security crisis. STWR identified the need for increased security measures within the area to protect the communities and animals from the surge of criminal activities linked to poaching.

STWR identified that something had to be done so Waterberg Security Initiative (WSI) was formed. They started with an idea to get the whole community involved in a security initiative. A committee, elected by the local community was formed a year ago to head up this almost impossible task. WSI now has a functional committee of seven members. Our security plan is based on a model with proven success, currently in operation within the greater Waterberg area.

The positive buy-in & support from businesses, tourism establishments, landowners & community members into the WSI strategy and plan clearly indicates the need and necessity for improved safety and security measures within the increasingly vulnerable farming communities of South Africa.”

LPR Cameras

The installation of LPR cameras covers what is known as the Dorset/Palala/Melkrivier security cluster.
The cluster will be run by the Waterberg Security Initiative (WSI) who are responsible for utilising the sophisticated software that highlights any suspicious activity. It records evidence and prompts security patrols to apprehend potential criminals.

The increased level of security will not only help in the fight against poaching but also combats other crime in the Waterberg.
